St Albans Heights Primary School was established in 1968 in the western suburbs of Melbourne within the City of Brimbank.
We are the closest school to the local kindergarten, Secondary College and childcare centre and are a short distance from the railway station and Victoria University. We are situated on a local bus route. St Albans Heights is a safe, secure school enclosed within a high security fence, with landscaped grounds and spacious grassed playing areas for the children.
As a SunSmart school, we provide our students with shaded play areas for both active and passive play. All of our classrooms have both heating and air-conditioning for student and staff comfort.
We cater for students with differing needs from Foundation to Year 6 and our students come from diverse cultural backgrounds. We equip our students with the skills necessary to build positive social relationships, to work and learn in teams and the strategies to manage and resolve conflict. We provide a structured, supportive and motivating educational environment where your child will experience a stimulating curriculum with challenging and achievable goals that will meet their needs.
Our school focuses on the teaching of Literacy and Numeracy and our highly experienced teaching and non-teaching staff are dedicated to developing each child to their fullest potential. Strong emphasis is placed on a team approach to planning, implementing and evaluating all of our programs. Our school and parent community have a shared vision for all students at our school. Through positive role modelling and co-operative learning our students respect the rights of others, act in a responsible manner and strive for excellence at all times.
Family–School partnerships are encouraged and actively sought for the benefit of our students. These partnerships are based on trust and mutual respect for the role that families play in a child’s education. Parent involvement in the school is encouraged and appreciated.
